Professor Chris Davey

Chris Davey is the Head of Department of Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne and a psychiatrist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is the current Editor of the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry. Chris’s main clinical and research interest is in the management of severe mood disorders, especially in young people. He has led, or is leading, large multicentre clinical trials of treatments for depression and bipolar disorder at the university and RMH.

Professor Colleen Loo

Colleen Loo is Professor of Psychiatry at the University of New South Wales, NHMRC Leadership Fellow and Professorial Fellow at the Black Dog Institute, Sydney; Australia. She qualified in medicine and psychiatry in Australia (MB BS, FRANZCP) and completed a research doctorate in 2003 (MD). She was chair of academic psychiatry at St George Hospital (2006-2021), founded the Neurostimulation service at the Black Dog Institute in 2014, and is Regional Medical Director of ECT and Interventional Psychiatry (including ketamine treatment) at Ramsay Clinics in Sydney. She was President of the International Society for ECT and Neurostimulation (2018-2020) and is an editorial board member of the journal Brain Stimulation.

Professor James Scott

Professor John Tiller

Professor Louise Newman AM

Louise Newman AM is Professorial Fellow in Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne, Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at Newcastle University and Monash University. She has held senior leadership positions in mental health training and research including Director of the NSW Institute of Psychiatry, Director of the Monash University Centre for Developmental Psychiatry and Psychology and is Director of the Melbourne University BEAR (Building Early Attachment and Resilience) research program. She is recognised as Australia’s lead researcher in the areas of infant and early child mental health, disturbances of early parenting and parent-infant interventions. She has worked extensively in developing clinical programs for women with backgrounds of complex trauma and mental health issues needing support in the perinatal period and has over 25 years’ experience in women’s mental health. She is recognised as the leading international expert in the issues facing women with complex trauma disorder in pregnancy and the perinatal period. She is the past Director of the Centre for Women’s Mental Health at the Royal Women’s Hospital.  She is currently Consultant Psychiatrist at the Ramsay Clinic Albert Road specialising in women’s mental health and perinatal and infant mental health.
