Profile

Andrea is an experienced Clinical Psychologist and author who is down-to-earth and practical, with more than 25 years in clinical practice.

Andrea draws from a range of therapeutic modalities to help people appreciate the benefits of each option as they progress through therapy. What matters most is that each individual learns and feels more resolved about the problems that were important enough for them to seek support.

It can be difficult to have a clear understanding of the many therapies available, and to think about what might work for each individual. People are different in important ways. Andrea works with people to ensure their therapy provides the best fit possible from a range of evidence-based treatment options.

She has worked in private psychology clinics, medical and allied health practices, and university settings, and has an extensive history of clinical practice and teaching, as well as supervision of the next generation of psychologists.

Her approach is transdiagnostic, which is more symptom-focused and accommodating of common comorbid problems. This is balanced by targeted diagnostic assessment and expert report-writing when required. The aim is to help people shift the arc of their life stories in ways that work for them and to help make sense of the world that’s shaped them thus far.
