Dr Hany.F Ghabrash (Dr G) is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and is a Certified Psychiatrist with extensive experience in Child, Youth and Adult Mental Health in Australia and overseas. He works both in the public and private sector. He is an Honorary Adjunct Assistant professor at Bond University Faculty of Medicine and Health sciences and a former senior lecturer at Griffith University School of Medicine, and former Clinical Lecturer, at Melbourne Medical School; Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. Dr Ghabrash has published a few papers on the physical side effects of psychotropic medications and the cultural impact of psychiatry. Dr Ghabrash has had advanced training in Consult Liaison Psychiatry, General adult community, adult inpatient mental health, as well as child and youth community and inpatient mental health. Dr Ghabrash believes in the recovery principle of patients with mental health difficulties, focusing on their areas of strengths along with the inclusive approach of their significant others and the value of a professional therapeutic alliance. Dr Ghabrash has an interest in anxiety and mood disorders, psychosis, personality vulnerabilities, OCD, mental and physical wellbeing and the impact of relationships and trauma on mental health and resilience as well as developmental disorders, learning difficulties, functional disorders, and Childhood and adult ADHD. He is a member of the American academy of consultation-liaison psychiatry, Canadian ADHD alliance, Australian ADHD association, the Australasian college of independent medical evaluators, the Australian medical association, and is registered as a specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency. |
