Following the completion of her medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 2011, Dr Greenland undertook Psychiatry Training in South Eastern Sydney and Hunter New England Local Health Districts. During her training she was President of the Registrar Cohort and was awarded Registrar of the Year in 2017. She has a Masters of Medicine (Psychiatry) from the University of Sydney, and achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) in 2020. She has completed her Advanced Training in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and also has an interest in Older Person’s Mental Health.
Dr Greenland has an interest in teaching and is a Conjoint Fellow with the University of Newcastle with ongoing roles as a lecturer and tutor for medical students and junior doctors. She is an accredited Supervisor with the RANZCP, and examiner for both the University of Newcastle and RANZCP.
Dr Greenland has been working as a Staff Specialist Psychiatrist in Hunter New England Health, with roles in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service, and the Specialist Older Person’s Mental Health Team. Her skills and experience include:
• Acute and rehabilitation psychiatry
• Psychotic, mood and anxiety disorders across the lifespan
• Perinatal psychiatry
• Functional neurological symptoms
• Medical comorbidities, in particular: oncology; cardiology, pain and post stroke syndrome
• Diagnosis and management of behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia
Dr Greenland has recently commenced private practice to pursue her interest in providing holistic mental health care to the local community.
