Dr Julian Dodemaide is a medical graduate of the University of Queensland and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and NZ College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). He has earned a Certificate of Advanced Training in Forensic Psychiatry, and is an accredited member of the Faculties of Forensic Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry with the RANZCP. He is also an active sitting member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal of Queensland.
Dr Dodemaide has gained experience working in a wide variety of clinical settings, including with the forensic psychiatry services High Security Inpatient Service and Prison Mental Health Service in Queensland, and Canberra Forensic Mental Health Services, as well as general adult psychiatry with the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital and Ramsay Clinic New Farm. He has gained experience in the assessment and rehabilitation of complex patients, as well as the application of forensic risk assessment tools, writing medico-legal reports, and providing expert evidence for the courts. He is passionate about providing high quality medico-legal reports, and supporting GPs in shared patient care. Interests include medico-legal expert evidence, psychotic and mood disorders, violence risk assessment, neurostimulation technologies, PTSD and military veterans.
Dr Dodemaide is accepting referrals for all forms of medico-legal reports, as well as '291' assessment reports to assist GPs in patient management.
