Our Psychologists

Jacinta is a Clinical Psychologist who has clinical experience working with children, adolescents and their families, and adults with psychological or psychiatric disorders. She has garnered experience in numerous public mental healthsettings, including community outpatient clinics in Singapore and Australia, the Institute of Mental Health outpatient and inpatient ward (Singapore), Burns Unit (Australia) and Perth Voices Clinic (Australia).

Nooria is a Registered Psychologist with diverse experience of working with different age groups, cultural and religious backgrounds. She has an eclectic approach to therapy and utilises evidence-based models, adopting a person-centred approach with her clients.

Nikki is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist who has worked with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and across the lifespan. 

Alison is Registered Psychologist with a long history in health services. She was initially trained as a Registered Nurse, then an Endorsed Midwife prior to completing her degree in psychology. Her training in the diverse areas of health allow her to integrate the knowledge and experience over a long career to provide a client-centred approach which can help clients improve their wellbeing, relationships and lived experience. Alison is particularly interested in trauma and how it can affect all aspects of a person’s life. This includes relationships, substance use, emotional health and wellbeing, employment and overall mental health.

Lina is a warm and non-judgmental clinician who works strongly on building a kind and genuine rapport with her clients, while providing them with a safe and empowering space.

Ruth is a registered Psychologist with qualifications including a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours). During her studies, Ruth worked for five years supporting those in crisis following trauma. This was followed by a two-year internship and practical application of her learnings at Ramsay Clinic in Cairns. Ruth has  a special interest working with adults and adolescents.

Jini is a Registered Psychologist with many years of experience working with a diverse population. She places emphasis on evidence-based therapeutic modalities and utilises relevant skills and expertise to promote change. With a core belief in humanistic psychology, Jini looks at an individual holistically and recognises the innate goodness in everyone which is critical to building personal agency. This philosophy motivates Jini to attain a strength-based attitude, making the therapeutic work, with both adults and children, more effective.

Dr Hannes Venter maintains a goal-informed, patient and empathic approach as a Clinical and Neuropsychologist, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for his clients. From a Clinical Psychology perspective, he has a special interest in working with clients with anxiety and mood difficulties, as well as those clients struggling with their self-esteem. Hannes has extensive experience providing assessment and evidenced-based intervention to assist with a variety of other mental health presentations, including psychological trauma and stressor related presentations, OCD, sleep-wake disorders, substance related disorders, neurocognitive disorders, borderline personality disorder, bariatric surgery, and mental health difficulties related to physical conditions or injury.

Anda aims to accompany each patient through their therapy process by assisting them in constructing meaning and finding compassion for their emotional struggles, their successes and feelings of failure, their dreams and fears. Often, this naturally leads to a gradual relief from debilitating symptoms.

Ann is a registered psychologist with over 35 years of experience as a counsellor, working with community organisations and supporting persons with disabilities.  Her qualifications include Bachelor of Arts (Hons), Graduate Diploma in Business Management and Graduate Diploma in Social Sciences (Counselling), with further training in Coaching (Executive, Career, Health & Well Being).
