You do not need a doctor’s referral to book an appointment (in person or via telehealth) at Ramsay Psychology South Melbourne. However, if you have been referred by your GP with a Mental Health Treatment Plan, you will be able to claim a Medicare rebate. This will cover part of the cost of a number of sessions in a calendar year. Your doctor can address the referral to Ramsay Psychology or specifically to one of our psychologists. If you do not already have a Mental Health Treatment Plan and you wish to access this rebate, contact your GP or psychiatrist.
Clients who hold private health insurance may be eligible for a partial refund. Contact your health fund for more information.
Ramsay Psychology psychologists and practice staff offer concessions and fee structures for individuals who are Concession Card Holders, or covered by NDIS (self-funded only), MAIC, OSHC and WorkCover. These are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Ramsay Psychology South Melbourne is located on Level 1, Suite 07 South Melbourne Central, 111 Cecil Street. Also located at South Melbourne Central are a range of popular retail stores such as Aldi, Dan Murphy’s, Spotlight and Woolworths.
South Melbourne Central is located at 111 Cecil Street in South Melbourne, which is directly adjacent to the South Melbourne Market.
Pedestrian access to the centre is possible from Cecil Street, York Street and Market Street.
If you’re driving here, we have a secure carpark which is open 7 days a week and your first 2 hours are free.

The centre is a short drive from the West Gate Freeway off the Montague Street Exit
No. 96 from Bourke Street and get off at South Melbourne (Stop 127).
No. 12 from Collins Street, which takes you along Clarendon Street, and get off on the corner of York St (Stop 127).
No. 109 from Collins Street, which takes you to the corner of Clarendon Street and Whiteman Street (Stop 125 – Port Junction). Then transfer onto the No 96 or walk up Clarendon Street, then turn right at York St.
No. 1 from Federation Square towards South Melbourne Beach to the corner of Park Street and Cecil Street (Stop 25). Alight the tram and head right up Cecil Street by foot.
From St Kilda
No. 12 from the corner of Park Street and Fitzroy Street St Kilda, which travels along Clarendon Street, and stops at York Street (Stop 127).
No. 96 from Acland St, Upper Esplanade or Fitzroy Street and get off at South Melbourne (Stop 127).
From Port Melbourne
No. 109 from Station Street, get off at Port Junction (Stop 125) and catch the No. 96 tram to South Melbourne (Stop 127).
From South Melbourne Beach
No. 1 from Victoria Ave to the corner of Park Street and Cecil Street (Stop 25). Alight the tram and head left up Cecil Street by foot. The centre is a 5-minute walk away.
National Bus Route No. 253 runs from Garden City in Port Melbourne, via Bay Street to South Melbourne Market, where is Centre is directly across from. It runs every 25-35 minutes on weekdays only.
