Inpatient programs

Ramsay Mental Health offers inpatient programs for a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, substance misuse, youth and young persons, eating disorders and addiction, PTSD and trauma and borderline personality disorder, and psychosis.

Inpatient programs are offered in clinics. Our holistic approach to care treats the patient’s condition while also caring for their general psychological, social and physical health. Our clinics are staffed with specialist mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and other allied health professionals.

While a patient is with us, they receive individually tailored, multidisciplinary care, designed around the best evidence-based psychiatric and psychological treatments currently available. Patients may also have access to a clinic gym and nutritional support to help maintain and optimise their physical wellbeing.

Patients may come together for group programs aimed at learning to recognise the factors contributing to their condition, and how to use effective coping strategies.

Is an inpatient program right for my loved one?

You or your loved one may benefit from a Ramsay Mental Health inpatient program if they have a serious or severe mental health condition that requires close supervision or intensive intervention.

Your loved one’s GP, psychologist or psychiatrist may recommend an inpatient stay at a Ramsay Mental Health Clinic as they work towards recovery.
